Week in Review: Westboro Baptist, Arrests and Comfort Zone

A look at the notable events of the past week.

On Tuesday, a handful of members from Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas paid a visit to Prince George's County to protest outside of Northwestern High School in Hyattsville. We have , , and , so check it out.

Also on Tuesday, police announced connected with the , both of which happened in February. 

Derek Sean Waddy, 29, of the 9900 block of 51st Avenue in College Park, was arrested last Wednesday and William Edward Patton Jr., 34, of the 9700 block of 52nd Avenue in College Park, was arrested one day later, police said.

County police have with assault and hazing a pledge during initiation in October, the Washington Post reports.

According to TBD, university officials also halted pledge activities of three fraternities -- Delta Chi, Tau Kappa Epsilon and Pi Kappa Alpha for possible violations.

The , after the Board of Zoning Appeals failed to reach a decision Wednesday night as to whether the business - termed a "variety store" by its owners, and a "sex store" by the city - is violating its use and occupancy permit by selling adult products. The hearing is scheduled to continue on May 11.
