Week in Review: Gary Williams' Retirement, Bin Laden's Death, and a UMd. Student Indicted for Fraud

A look back at the major events of the past week.

Most of us were settled in for the night on Sunday when news broke that Osama bin Laden, architect of the 9/11 attacks and the FBI's most wanted criminal, in a compound in Pakistan by U.S. forces.

University of Maryland students took to the street to chant and sing, eventually making their way to campus, where singing gave way to near the Omicron Delta Kappa Fountain.

But the jubilation was largely tempered by midday on Monday, when that bin Laden's death may stoke the ire of radical forces that maintain a powerful presence in the Middle East.
