Week in Review: Elections, More Elections, and a Bank Robbery

A look at the notable events of Sept. 12 - 19

Wow! Is it just me or does the beginning of last week seem like a really long time ago? On Monday, for example, primary election fervor reached a fever pitch, and Patch editors were in a frenzy writing last minute info on various candidates and providing up-to-the-minute information on the status of the State Board of Elections website. Residents who didn't get enough noise and chaos during election day got their fill at the annual Doggie Dive-In at Ellen Linson Pool, an event so adorable it could single-handedly put Cute Overload out of business.

On Thursday, police announced that they caught one of the suspects in the armed robbery on Aug. 8, and approximately 20 minutes later, an armed robbery occurred at the M&T Bank on Knox Road. So much for quiet.
