Week in Review: Dernoga Money, Petitions and Maryland Day

A look back at the notable events of the week.

On Monday, we asked what Patch readers though of former Dist. 1 County Councilman Tom Dernoga's "Robin Hood-esque" for money, which he then turned over to local schools. And we're still interested: What do you think? Tell us in the comments.

On Tuesday, Patch, president of the Prince George's Property Owners Association, the source behind two petitions that have been circulating the city in recent weeks. Miller said the PGPOA did not identify itself as being behind the petitions sooner because it didn't seem necessary.

Also on Tuesday, the City Council honored the four winners of this year's . The awards were distributed in four categories: The awards were distributed in four categories: 1) Environmental 3-Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), 2) Environmentally Friendly Landscaping and Beautification, 3) Conservation of Natural Resources and 4) Other Environmental Achievements.
