UMd. Police Detective Awarded "Investigator of the Year" by County Police Chief's Association

A total of six UMd. Department of Public Safety employees were recognized.

University of Maryland Police Detective Brian Lesniewicz was awarded the Investigator of the Year Award on Thursday by the Prince George’s County Police Chiefs’ Association. 

According to a press release, Lesniewicz received the honor as a result of closing multiple burglaries on the UMd. campus, and for identifying and arresting two suspects connected with the robbery of UMd. student. 

UMDPS Records Manager Deanna Renner, and officers Joseph Lilly, Shawn Brown, Marc Bona, and Keith Galster also received recognition.
