The severe thunderstorm watch has been lifted.

Original article:

Keep an eye on the skies Tuesday, as forecasters are warning of more severe weather in the area.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect across Prince George's County and the surrounding region through 8 p.m.

The cause, according to the National Weather Service, is a slow-moving cold front pushing through the area.

"Some storms will become severe and will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and possibly large hail," the service cautions.

A high of 96° is expected this afternoon.
