SPEAK OUT: How Did Hurricane Sandy Affect You?

Was there damage to your house or did you escape unscathed?

Hurricane Sandy didn't hit us as hard as we thought it would, but it did do some damage across College Park, Riverdale Park and University Park.

So we want to know how much damage the hurricane cause or if you thought it was overhyped.

FLOODED BASEMENT FOR 2 1/2 DAYS, BURNED UP MOTORS ON WET VACS. DAUGHTER WITH ASTHMA, 2 SMALL GRANDSONS ONE ENDED UP IN THE ER DX WITH TOXIC SYNOVITIS. (NOT GOOD AND PAINFUL FOR A 5 YR OLD). ME WITH A HEART CONDITION & BEING DIABETIC, NOT MUCH OF IMMUNE SYSTEM. FUN UNABLE TO GET HELP EXCEPT A COUPLE OF FRIENDS DURING THE "SUPER STORM" . THIS IS NOW A HEALTH ISSUE AS WELL HAVING TO FIND FUNDS TO REBUILD THE BASEMENT AGAIN AFTER ALMOST 8 YRS AGO WHEN OVER 100 HOMES FLOODED AND WSSC SETTLED WITH 98% OF THEM. I WAS NOT OFFERED A SETTLEMENT. SO HERE I GO AGAIN. AND NOT GETTING KISSED.
