Hopefully, she'll have learned that corruption doesn't pay. More likely, she'll just come out embittered that *she* was the one that got caught. I'm just glad that she and her husband are doing time instead of a little slap on the wrist for being some of the most corrupt politicians in memory.

No Anne Arundel County can run close behind, My county councilman is in jail for tax evasion. My county executive used county car for sexual exursions and using the county police as his valet service.

i'm sorry, but do you know of any other incident in which a woman of any racial background stuffed cash in her bra at the direction of her politician husband? i'm drawing a blank here. i guess it happens all the time to "whites" but just doesn't get reported.

Corruption is as old as civilization and history demonstrates that it has been practiced by men and women of all ethnicities and cultures.
Part of what characterizes any culture is its tolerance of corruption (or lack thereof). Prince Georges County has seen plenty of corruption over the years and has in many cases accepted it as part of how we do things. The county has gotten a reputation for shady, sleazy operations and as a result we've seen a lot of shoddy , poorly planned developments, dubious businesses and more crime than we deserve. Whatever the backgrounds of the politicians and officals who've been guilty of corruption we should develop a low tolerance for crooks and keep a closer idea on our politicians.
