Jamaican restaurant makes Independence Day an opportunity to give

The Fourth of July in College Park isn't just for grilling and fireworks. At the , it's for charity work as well.

From noon to 4 p.m., the Jamaican restaurant will be serving food to homeless and underprivileged.

The Jerk Pit, 9078 Baltimore Ave., will be serving soup, hot dogs, rice, dessert, beverages and more.
