Why go: The performance will be directed by a 20-year-old raised in Prince George's County. And the trailer looks pretty interesting.

Brain Health Blitz 5K

Where/When: , 8300 Burdette Road, Bethesda, 9 a.m.

Why go: Work your body to strengthen the mind. The race supports efforts to end Alzheimer's disease. If the 5K is a little too intense, join the untimed 2K Family Fun Run. Registration starts at 7:15 a.m.

Price: $25 registration rate for 5K or 2K

Why go: This event will highlight the advances the National Museum of Language has made over the past year and will feature a 43-year veteran in the field. And the meal options aren’t too shabby either: (1) baked chicken with fine herbs; (2) herb-crusted salmon; or (3) vegetarian lasagna.
