College Park Commutes Rank in Top Quarter of MD Small Communities, Bottom 40 Percent Nationwide

He’s in the minority of College Park commuters though, where only 31.8 percent of residents travel less than 15 minutes to their jobs, according to U.S. Census Bureau’s 2009 American Community Survey. Nationwide, only 28.7 percent of commuters drive less than 15 minutes to work.

Although College Park ranks 1,795 out of 3,012 small communities included in the survey nationwide (the bottom 40 percent), College Park ranks 24th out of 108 Maryland small communities.
