Postal Service Woes

The council could approve a letter to be sent to the regional postmaster about city resident complaints about the at 9591 Baltimore Ave. Among the complaints: inconsistent and unreliable mail delivery and pickup; poor customer service at the post office; and an inefficient problem-reporting process.

Youth Services Center Program at Risk

According to city staff, the College Park Youth Service Center program is in jeopardy due to funding. The council will consider whether to request a continuation of funding for M-NCPPC staff at the center.

Census Corrections

The council is set to approve a letter to the U.S. Census Bureau, challenging the number of vacant and occupied units in College Park. The Census data is inconsistent with city data.

Mutual Disaster Aid

College Park could enter into a mutual aid agreement, which would make the city eligible for reimbursement from the Maryland Emergency Management Administration and/or the Federal Emergency Management Administration when it offers public works resources to other municipalities in disaster situations.
