1. It’s National Pink Day! How do you celebrate such a holiday? Check back on Patch later this morning for suggestions. Feel free to leave your own in the comments section below.

2. Get thrifty. Save 50 percent or more on the original price of items in the “As-Is” department at , 10100 Baltimore Ave. Open 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

3. Tonight, plant the seeds for a brand new hobby in your life - astronomy.  Take an introductory “Learn the Sky Nights” class from 7-8:30 p.m. at the University of Maryland Observatory on Metzerott Road between Adelphi Road and University Boulevard. 4. Make it a family outing at the College Park , 1985 Frank Scott Dr. From 10:30-11:30 a.m., your children can enjoy story time and craft making. Recommended for children five years and younger. 5. The city’s Animal Welfare Committee is holding it monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at , 4500 Knox Road. The committee is responsible for a variety of tasks, including reporting to the Mayor and Council on domestic and wild animal-related issues and educating the community about responsible pet ownership.
