5 Things You Need to Know This Week

Good afternoon, College Park! Finals week at the University of Maryland is upon us, meaning the city will be unusually full of hard-working students before largely emptying out next week. To that end, here are 5 Things You Need to Know This Week.

1. In honor of UMd. finals week, Starbucks downtown will be open for 24 hours a day from Monday May 9 until Tuesday the 17th. Regular hours will resume on May 18.

If you find your usual downtown haunts are full, on the College Park locales that will offer you study/work essentials: Free Wi-Fi, abundant outlets and most importantly, coffee.

2. Permit and non-permit holders alike may park on campus in lots 1,2,4,5,6,9,11,16 and 19 from May 12 - 30.

3. Though the future leadership of the UMd. men's basketball team remains uncertain, there are plenty of rumors circulating the blogosphere.

4. UMd. students and staff will receive half-off their burger at Elevation Burger in Hyattsville on Monday when they flash their university IDs. 

5. This year's smashed previous attendance records with a whopping 97,200 visitors. We're already looking forward to next year!
