3. University of Maryland Merger

There's a public hearing scheduled for Friday to discuss the proposed merger of the University of Maryland campuses in College Park and Baltimore, according to The Baltimore Sun, which also reports that the proposal has been met by opposition from officials and business and civic leaders of Baltimore.
