SECU Opens New Branch in College Park

SECU – Maryland’s largest state-chartered financial cooperative – opened its newest branch at 8300 Baltimore Avenue in College Park, MD, adjacent to the University of Maryland campus in the lobby of University View Tower II. 

The full-service branch, SECU’s 22nd in Maryland, will feature two modern teller stations, touch-screen banking kiosks, and check-writing stations, along with a 24-hour self-service lobby to offer greater flexibility and convenience to members who want to bank after hours. The 24-hour lobby includes full-service imaging ATMs and plasma screens sharing valuable and timely information. 

“SECU’s new College Park branch will enable us to better serve the faculty, students, and staff who make up the College Park community, as well as everyone living and working in the surrounding area,” says Peggy Tucker, Senior Vice President of Member Relations and Branch Operations for SECU. “We are excited to demonstrate our commitment to this community, and hope to play an integral role in the financial futures of those living, studying, and working in College Park.”

SECU’s newest branch will serve as a complement to its existing College Park branch, located on Greenbelt Road. That branch will remain open as usual. 

SECU now has a total of 22 branches and 104 ATM locations throughout Maryland. SECU also provides access to over 70,000 surcharge-free ATMs through the CO-OP and Allpoint networks.

Branch hours for SECU’s new College Park branch are 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Friday; and 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Teller service hours are 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Saturday. For more information about SECU, visit secumd.org.
