Fun Fact: Wednesday is New Comic Book Day
Big Planet Comics receives thousands of new comic books every Wednesday.
Newsflash, comic book fans: Every Wednesday is "new comic book day" at Big Planet Comics, meaning a giant shipment of fresh reading material makes its way onto the store's shelves.
The store receives anywhere from 1,000 to 5,000 new items each week.
One of the highlights of this week's shipment is a comic called "Flashpoint," a new series about an alternate universe in which super heroes convert into super villains, said Big Planet Comic employee John Staton.

Typically the shelves are stocked each Tuesday night in preparation for Wednesday morning. Memorial Day caused this week's shipment to be delayed, but never fear: employees will have the new comics processed and ready for purchase by this afternoon.
