Frugal Family: REI Classes, Paint Sale and Kids Free at Newseum

Five great deals to use this week in College Park or nearby.

This week, Patch scoured our local sources to come up with great deals on automotive supplies, free admission for kids to the Newseum, back-to-school supplies (crazy, I know), and informative REI classes on outdoor skills. 5. Summer Fun Deal: Kids Free at the Newseum

Where: 555 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, D.C.
Why Go: Seven levels of galleries, theaters, retail and visitor services make this one of D.C.'s must-see destinations. The museum pays homage to news, offering visitors five centuries of news history with up-to-the-second technology and interactive exhibits from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Price: Youth (18 and under) free with one paid adult admission.
