Bobby Flay Looks to Spread Burger Palace in Washington Area

Bobby's Burger Palace slated to open in College Park later this year.

The Washington Business Journal is reporting that the national chain Bobby's Burger Palace, run by celebrity chef Bobby Flay, is slated to open in College Park later this year. He may also be eyeing Bethesda as a possible location for 2012, according to the Business Journal.

Flay, a chef, restaurateur, television personality, cookbook author and host of the Food Network’s Throwdown with Bobby Flay told the Washington Business Journal he’s looking to open several of his burger restaurants in the Washington area.

The latest location of the fast-casual burger restaurant opened Tuesday at 2121 K Street Northwest in Washington, D.C.

Flay told the Washington Examiner that there were about 400 people waiting in line this week to taste test the fare at the new K Street location.

"It's nice that, you know, it seems that Washington, D.C., is at least going to give us a try, that's all that we can ask for," Flay told the Examiner.
