Hollywood Neighborhood Cleanup Set for Saturday Morning

About 50 residents and elected officials are expected to join in.

College Park residents and elected officials are set to gather this Saturday, Sept. 8 for an annual cleanup of the Hollywood neighborhood.

Volunteers will assemble around 9 a.m. at the Hollywood Shopping Center (in the 9800 block of Rhode Island Ave.) and move block-by-block to pick up litter around the community.

State Senator Jim Rosapepe (Dist. 21) and County Councilmember Mary Lehman (Dist. 1) are expected to participate, along with Fazlul Kabir (Dist. 1) and several other members of the College Park City Council.

Free breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. and pizza at 12 p.m. Some cleaning supplies will be provided, but participants can bring their own, as well.
