Great Escape: National Poetry Month at Greenbelt Library

Your teens are holding a car wash at the high school Saturday. The grandparents volunteered to take the younger children to a movie Sunday afternoon. Your tweens take tap on Wednesday evening. You've got some "you" time. Take it.

This week's Great Escape?

April is National Poetry Month, and what better venue to celebrate in than the newly renovated Greenbelt Library? Festivities kick off on Saturday at 2 p.m. with "Poetry Connects Communities," which will feature readings from local writers, including Takoma Park poet laureate Ann Becker. There will also be a workshop with the poets to discuss "30 things to do to celebrate National Poetry Month." Light refreshments will be served.
