Race for F.A.C.E. 5k

  • Description: Facing Autism with Children Everywhere- F.A.C.E. will be hosting its first annual Race for F.A.C.E. 5k. There will be activities for the entire family to enjoy including face painting, balloon sculpting, raffles, games, prizes, and more.

Treasure Island Pirates: The Musical

  • Where: Charis Center for the Arts, 13010 8th St, Bowie
  • When: Friday, April 19, 7:30 p.m.
  • Description: A musical appropriate for all ages about pirates, treasure and the search for a stowaway.

Wee-Sale Children's Consignment Event

  • When: Friday, April 19
  • Description: Seasonal children’s consignment sale. Kids items for sale include toys, clothes (sizes 0-16), baby gear, maternity clothes, books, and more.
  • Cost: Free

Earth Day Hike

  • Where: 6411 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill
  • When: Sunday, April 21, 2 p.m.
  • Description: All ages are invited to join Ranger Steph on a hike on Oxon Cove Park’s Woodlot Trail to learn how to care for Mother Earth. The trail is about a half mile long and includes some good hill-climbing. Meet in the Visitor Barn.
  • Cost: Free

Girls Wear P.I.N.K. 2013

  • Where: 15210 Annapolis Rd, Bowie
  • When: Saturday, April 20, 10:20 a.m.
  • Description: Young ladies ages 12-24 are invited to a workshop about domestic violence prevention, and self-empowerment.
  • Cost: Free

Summer Science Reading Program

  • Where: City of Bowie Gymnasium, 4100 Northview Dr, Bowie
  • When: Saturday, April 20, 10 a.m.
  • Description: Students will participate in a five week program where they will read books and engage in activities related to science.
  • Cost: $130
