"Reduce, Reuse, Recycle," including yard sales

“Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” Neighborhood Event 

Volunteers of Calvert Hills Citizens’ Association have teamed up to present “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” along with yards sales on Saturday, September 8th (9AM - 3PM), Calvert Road area - to the South.  Volunteers are Mary Jane Boatman, Christina Farrera Donnelly, Mary Ann Hakes, Tej Gorski, Leo Shapiro, Alexa Bely, John Rigg, Adele Ellis, Douglas Hamilton, Kristy Maddux, Joe McNamara, Janet Hawley, Ellen Hamilton family, Bradley Farrar family, Renee Domogauer, Carol Nezzo, Evan Copeland, Wijegupta Ellepola.

Their goal will be supported not only through yard sales, but also through education by four unique nonprofit organizations:  A Wider Circle that will come into your home to retrieve upholstered furniture and mattresses (and any items) to give to needy families; Community Forklift, a thrift store for hardware/building supplies; Simplicity Discussion Circles that will offer two discussions in Calvert Hills homes - one on on voluntary frugality and another on foods; Clean Currents that will explain competitive wind and solar power for your home.  For information on how to sell in your yard:  mjb180@comcast.net   (301)927-9098.
