Gardening for Wildlife

How can we structure our gardens to attract wildlife? Expert garden designer Ann Lundy will explain and demonstrate how to decide what to plant where and why (e.g., food and shelter) and discuss water, soil and light conditions, drainage issues, deer, and dogs. Ann, a former board member of the Maryland Native Plant Society, is a garden designer specializing in native plants and low-maintenance and sustainable gardens that attract wildlife. Weather permitting, this workshop will be outside.

Since it’s that time of year when some gardeners dig up and divide their plants, let’s have a plant swap after the workshop—bring one, take one. Please label the plant’s identity.
