1. In case you missed it, Patch had a snapshot of the at the Women's Tennis Association Citi Open tournament, which saw play from a local who used to practice in College Park.

2. Tuesday was the  — and Tuesday the list of post offices throughout the country that might close due to budget issues was released. The College Park location at 5815 Calvert Road was not on the list.

4. Today's Featured Facebook page belongs to University View, the new student housing high rise just north of the University of Maryland campus on U.S. Route 1. Apparently, there's a big leasing event today from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., which we found out through the Facebook page.

5. The forecast calls for the temperature to peak in late afternoon at 90 degrees. There's no real chance of rain all day, and humidity will ease throughout the day.
