1. In case you missed it, the city has more than $167,000 to spend on a public safety project. The Mayor and Council are in early discussions over what project to choose, but it doesn't look like they'll use the funds to expand the university's to the rest of the city for the proposed $100,000 price tag.

2. Head to the Shell at 10600 Baltimore Ave. in Beltsville for gas at $3.46 a gallon today, according to Gas Buddy.

3. Today is Presidential Joke Day. Apparently, the holiday originated in 1984, when President Ronald Reagan joked before his radio show that he signed legislation that outlawed Russia. He thought the microphone was off, but the joke was in fact broadcasted.
