It's the first day of the work week, but don't think about starting slow. Nose to the grindstone, y'all, because it's Fight Procrastination Day.

If you have a dog, it might be in the mood for a dip. The annual Doggie Dive-in is taking place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the , 5211 Paint Branch Parkway. Bring your dog, a copy of the most recent rabies vaccination and a $4 entrance fee. All proceeds support the College Park Animal Shelter. Call 301-277-3717 for more information.

4. Plato's

Today's Featured Facebook Page belongs to Plato's Diner, mostly because the food is great. Within the past week, two people have mentioned to me how great Plato's is. Though, the Facebook wall is a little slow.

5. Weather

As if it wasn't enough that rain dampened Labor Day plans, there is a 90 percent chance of more precipitation today, with 3/4 to 1 inch of rain possible. Expect a high of 68 degrees.
