1. WaterShed Diagram

The Washington Post has a diagram of the WaterShed, the University of Maryland's entry in the Solar Decathlon. It's a competition to award the collegiate team that designs the best solar-powered house. Right now, Maryland is ahead in points, according to the event website, but there's still a lot of competition left.

4. Cupcakes

Today's Featured Facebook Page belongs to College Park Cupcakes. Unfortunately, as announced on the wall, the business won't start up this fall as hoped. Still, founder Melia Stuppy said on the info page that she hopes to open the cupcake business near the University of Maryland campus in the future.

5. Rain

There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., but the chance of precipitation is only 30 percent, increasing to 40 percent by nighttime. Expect a high near 78 degrees and a low around 67 degrees.
