3. Tragic Drowning

Drowning is the reported cause for two children’s deaths in Prince George's County this week, according to the county fire department. The first was in Landover Monday night. The second was just north of College Park in Beltsville. At about 10:45 a.m., firefighters and medics attempted to save the life of an 11-month-old male who reportedly drowned in a bathtub. Prince George's County Police are investigating both deaths.

4. Food Trucks

Councilman (Dist. 1) said at Tuesday night's council meeting that some of the popular D.C. food trucks will be at this year's College Park Day on Oct. 22 at the community center in Lakeland, including Curbside Cupcakes.

5. Weather

Showers are likely, and possibly a thunderstorm, with a 70 percent chance of rain, becoming 50 percent by tonight. Expect a high near 78 degrees and a low near 63 degrees.
