The Relay event will go overnight as approximately 1,000 students, staff and community residents gather to dedicate themselves to fighting cancer.    Because cancer never sleeps, Relay participants camp overnight and taking turns walking a track all night. Entertainment and games help keep teams going, including a hilarious Ms. Relay contest for which men dress up as women with the goal of filling their purses with donations for the ACS.  Funds raised through Relay For Life support ACS’s mission to find cures, provide services for cancer patients and their families, and help finish the fight against cancer.  More than 50 Relay For Life events take place in communities throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C., annually.
