DESCRIPTION:Bike to Work Day is  a free event co-sponsored by the Metropo
 litan Washington Council of  Governments&rsquo\; Commuter Connections pr
 ogram and the Washington Area  Bicyclist Association (WABA). &nbsp\;Bike
  to Work Day champions bicycling as  an alternative to drive-alone commu
 ting\; a leading contributor to  traffic congestion and greenhouse gas e
 missions. The event is held  annually to cap off National Bike to Work W
 eek and has grown to include  58 &ldquo\;pit stops&rdquo\; in the region
 .\nBike to Work Day 2012 will take place on Friday\, May 18th.  The City
  of College Park will again be hosting a pit stop at City  Hall\, 4500 K
 nox Road\, from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.&nbsp\; We generally have about 100  ri
 ders visit the College Park pit stop over the course of the event.
