The Veterans Memorial Improvement Committee will be holding a ceremony Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the College Park Veterans' Memorial at the corner of Baltimore Ave. and Greenbelt Rd.

The keynote speaker will be Maryland Army National Guard, Major Michael Krause and remarks will be made by Mayor Andrew Fellows.

“It is important to remember that these part-time National Guard reservists have been called up repeatedly over the last decade while trying to retain their jobs and care for families,” former College Park City Councilmember Christine Nagle, a former National Guard reservist, said.

Parking is being made available by the AMF Bowling Alley at 9021 Baltimore Avenue.
