UMd. President's House Could be Demolished
State's Board of Public Works to discuss the agenda item in January.
Looks like it's not just old, vacant buildings on U.S. Route 1 that could be knocked down in the near future.
The University of Maryland's president's house could be demolished and replaced with a University House, where the president and his family would reside and the university could host events, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
The state's Board of Public Works will discuss the agenda item in January. The building does not currently serve as a residence and, according to the agenda, “does not meet current life safety codes," the Business Journal reported.
