St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Holds Thrift Store Thursday

House ware, clothing, books and toys on sale.

The St. Andrew's Episcopal Church has been holding its thrift store for more than 60 years, said Linda Limberger, who handles the store.

"We don’t have enough customers," she said.

The thrift store is held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday and first Saturday of the month under the parish hall in the east wing of the church, 4512 College Ave.

Available at the store are clothing, house ware, books, toys and other items. Currently, paperback books cost 25 cents and are buy-one-get-one-free. Limberger also said that the store recently received a new donation of toys.

"We get nice clothing … Our donators go to nice shops. It’s Old Navy and Ann Taylor, and in good condition," she added.

Limberger said the funds go into church monies to help fund ministry work, including a homeless shelter and meals for those in need.

Those who wish to donate can bring like-new or lightly used items to the church between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Limberger said donators should ring the doorbell.

Anyone with questions should contact Limberger at limberger@verizon.net.
