Small Businesses Gauge How Local Shoppers Spend Money

Survey open to residents of College Park and surrounding areas.

Updated, Oct. 31

If there's a method you prefer to get your local business sales news and updates, and if you'd like to see a new event highlighting small businesses -- like a Taste of College Park -- then be sure to respond to the College Park Neighborhood Business Alliance survey. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. today.

Be sure to leave comments as well. Already there are a ton of comments from shoppers who have opinions about the new parking meters in downtown College Park.

Original Story

What College Park shops do you frequent the most? How do you find out about sales and specials in our city?

And would you be interested in "Taste of College Park," an event where restaurants around the city would offer free samples?

The College Park Neighborhood Business Alliance (CPNBA), which represents local, independently owned businesses, is asking these questions and more with its online survey. Not only is the organization interested in responses from College Park residents, but residents from Riverdale Park, University Park, Hyattsville and Greenbelt as well.

Respondents who provide contact information are eligible to receive prizes donated from local businesses, like a gift card from Hanami Japanese Restaurant. Providing contact information does not automatically sign a respondent up for the CPNBA newsletter.

The survey is open until Monday, Oct. 31.

I tried to fill this out, but when I started to enter information it brought submit button below the comments section so I couldn't press submit. Is this a common problem?

I haven't heard of this being a problem, but best person to contact would be CPNBA acting director, Chrissy Rey at chrissy@pongos.com.
