Update: Police Arrest Suspect in Tragic Beltway Crash
Prince George's County Police say they have arrested a suspect who they believe was involved in the tragic crash that killed a young county police officer from Laurel.

Update, 3:50 p.m.: Police have arrested the occupant in the Acura TL that was involved in a pursuit with a county police officer Monday.
According to the Prince George's County Twitter account, the man they had in custody for questioning has been arrested.

Original Post, 2:15 p.m.: Prince George's County Police have recovered the car involved in a pursuit on the Beltway Monday that led to the death of a young officer.
According to Prince George's County Police's twitter feed, investigators recovered the silver Acura TL in Southeast DC early Tuesday morning.
Police are questioning an individual in their custody, who PGPD spokeswoman Julie Parker tweeted was an occupant in the Acura.
Officer Adrian Morris, 23, of Laurel, was killed in the crash and his partner Officer Michael Risher was injured. Risher was released from the hospital Monday after receiving treatment for minor injuries. The accident shut down the southbound lanes of I-95 in Beltsville for hours.
The Washington Times is reporting that an unnamed police source told them the man in custody is Kenneth Mitchell, 24.
Police will be holding a press conference later today, when more information will become available.

Every day police officers place their lives in danger. I hope they are using every safety measure they can while fulfilling their duties including wearing seatbelts while driving. I hope this officer did not loose his life because he was not buckeled in and thus thrown from the vehicle.
