The White House announced two days ago that President Barack Obama would be holding a town hall meeting at the University of Maryland on Friday. The line to get tickets at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Stamp Student Union was already thousands of people long.

Anastasia Snyder, an upcoming high school senior participating in the Young Scholars Program at the university, was the first to get a ticket. "I just have a  skill of getting to the front of the line from all my amusement park trips," she said.
