Oh man. When I lived in Knox Towers sophomore and junior year I got that once a week, regularly. Great deal too, I think all that cost like 49 cents.

Just spoke with a reader. He argues that Fishnet in Berwyn has better fries. I forgot about those! Here's a review from November, when the joint first opened: "The fries — oh the fries. I knew they were special once I downed the whole cup full. They were salty and flavorful, with a nice combination of softness and crunch. . . . I started going to Marathon Deli when it opened in the late 1970s when I was in the MBA school at UM. I just bought some gyros for myself and my Dad last week, and they tasted just as good.
