It's Thursday, and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We've got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our picks for the activities to hit in the area.

1. Truckeroo

Where/When: Corner of Half Street and M Street, Washington, D.C. SE, across from the Navy Yard Metro station, Friday, July 15

Why go: Twenty to 25 food trucks convene in the same location. Throw in the live music and the question becomes "Why NOT go?"

Price: Free admission, but bring money to enjoy the wide variety of food truck options.

2. Family Swim Night

Where/When: Greenbelt Aquatic and Fitness Center, 101 Centerway, Greenbelt, 8 - 10 p.m., Friday, July 15

Why go: It's an inexpensive way for some family time.

Price: $3 per family, with an additional $1 per non-family member.

3. Lake Arbor Jazz Festival

Where/When: Lake Arbor Community Center Grounds, 10100 Lake Arbor Way Mitchellville, 2 - 10 p.m., Saturday, July 16

Why go: Enjoy traditional, contemporary and Latin jazz. Food and craft vendors will also be there.

Price: Admission and parking are free, though parking is limited.

4. CPWSC Annual Crab Feast

Where/When: College Park Woods Swim Club, 3545 Marlbrough Way, College Park, 6 - 8 p.m., Saturday, July 16

Why go: As if steamed Maryland crabs wouldn't be enough, there will also be sloppy Joes, potato salad, cole slaw, corn on the cob, hot dogs and beverages.

Price: $35. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

5. Sunday Bike Ride

Where/When: Arrow Bicycle, 5108 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville, 9 a.m., Sunday, July 17

Why go: Meet fellow bikers or try a new, healthy pastime during this 32-mile, moderately paced ride. The riders regroup throughout so that everyone can stay together. 

Price: Free.
