S & J Bar and Restaurant took top honors in this week's Readers' Choice poll for best place to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day, which is today, incidentally. 

If you decide to get your Irish on at the winning establishment today, S & J is located in Riverdale Park at the intersection of Queensbury Road and Rhode Island Avenue. Staff say that there will be a number of specials available throughout the day and into the evening. As usual, there will be Saturday night karaoke to add to the festivities. 

While our contest pitted establishments in Hyattsville, College Park, Riverdale Park and Greenbelt against one another, the sites in Bowie, Upper Marlboro and Laurel also held their own contests. 

• Voters in Upper Marlboro chose the Marlboro Grille as their favorite Saint Patrick's spot. 
• Voters in Bowie chose the Old Bowie Town Grille as the best place to break out shamrocks. 
• Rounding out the county, voters in Laurel said Hooters was the best place to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day.
