Election Day Guide
Need to know the candidates? Need to know when and where to vote?
If you don't know which city council candidates you're voting for yet, you're down to crunch time. Election Day is Tuesday.
Don't panic! Patch has question-and-answer posts with each of the candidates, so you can get an idea of who these people are and what they say they stand for. Click here for the list of candidates, and click each name for the Q&A.
Where and when do I vote?
There are two polling places. Residents of districts 1 and 4 will vote at Davis Hall, 9217 51st Ave., and those from districts 2 and 3 will vote at City Hall, 4800 Knox Road.
City redistricting has shuffled some residents to new districts, which could impact where you vote. To see if your polling place is different from where it was two years ago, check here.
Polls are open 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
If you can't make it to the polling place on Tuesday, you might be eligible for an emergency absentee ballot. Find out here if you qualify.
Candidates of two districts are unchallenged, and even the mayor is unchallenged. In that past, that hasn't boded well for voter turnout, but some see it as your right and duty as a citizen to go to the polls anyway.
