D.C. United to Stay at RFK a Bit Longer
Despite rumors that the team might come to College Park—and a crumbling stadium in D.C.—the Major League Soccer team will stay put.
Despite talks of moving from the crumbling RFK Stadium in Washington, at least temporarily, it looks like the Major League Soccer team D.C. United will remain for the 2012 season, The Washington Post reported.
Rumors about the team's next home field have included the University of Maryland's campus, as well as Baltimore, but a lease agreement to remain at RFK for the foreseeable future is in the works, The Post reported.
The Maryland General Assembly will discuss funding possibilities for further study of a stadium in Baltimore, The Post reported, with no mention of College Park.
